GIS - Alpha Upsilon is a collegiate fraternity at University of Houston organized to realize the mission statement of the Grand Chapter.
First founded in 1966, Gamma Iota Sigma has grown to over 83+ chapters across the U.S. Its mission statement is to:

promote, encourage, and sustain student interest in
insurance, risk management, and actuarial science as professions, -
encourage high moral and scholarship attainments of its members, and
-
facilitate interaction of educational institutions and industry through networking and by fostering research activities, scholarship, and improved public relations.
